Fabio Fernandes lives in London, where he received a BA and MA in Ancient History at University College London (UCL). He particularly focused on geography, cities, cultural identity and intercultural contact in the Roman world. Fittingly, his Master’s thesis, completed in 2021, examined how human mobility and urbanism influenced identity in the Roman Empire.
He has volunteered and completed placements in the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology and the British Museum, and continues to ponder on the societal dynamism of antiquity.
