Parrish Elizabeth Wright is an Assistant Professor of Classics at the University of South Carolina. She received her Ph.D. in Greek and Roman History and her M.A. in Classical Art and Archaeology from the University of Michigan.
Her interests lie in the history and archaeology of pre-Roman and Roman Italy with the use of both textual and material evidence. She is working on a book on foundation stories and civic identity in southern and central Italy. Parrish is also actively engaged in archaeological research in Italy the Gabii Project, located outside of Rome, and at the Venus Pompeiana Project exploring the temple complex of Venus in Pompeii.
