Argos

Argos was a major ancient Greek city in the region named after it, the Argolid. Argos is located on the coast and situated on the Peloponnese. In Homer, “Argives” was used as a general term to refer to all Greeks. The modern city of Argos features an archaeological museum that is well worth visiting.
