Will Lewis studied a BA in Classical Archaeology and Ancient History at the University of Oxford (2013) and an MA in Late Antique and Byzantine Studies at Cardiff University (2015), with a dissertation on dynastic legitimacy and Constantius II. He next held a research scholarship at the British Institute at Ankara in 2016 where he further explored his interest in the Eastern Roman Empire. He is currently working towards his PhD, again at Cardiff University. His current research is focused on the sons of Constantine I, with a particular interest in dynastic politics and imperial representation.
